It’s been said that public speaking is the greatest and most common fear people have. Public speaking is a more common fear than dying. So, as comedian Jerry Seinfeld says, at any given funeral, more people would rather be the one in the casket than the one delivering the eulogy. It’s understandable. The thought of freezing or stumbling or simply falling flat in front of a crowd of colleagues, industry experts, journalists, or even friends and family members is terrifying. But it doesn’t have to be so scary. With the proper training and practice, you can deliver a concise, effective message to a crowd of a handful or a crowd of thousands.
